The Good Life Sports Bar and Grill: Reviews & Ratings
The food and service was amazing. Nice, friendly atmosphere.
The food was much better than your typical bar and grill. Lots of tvs surrounding your dining experience. Our waitress was friendly and the food was prepared quickly. I'd recommend this spot to others in the area, it's a cut above most sports bars.
Their Saturday and Sunday brunch is the best value ever. 8.99 for 3 eggs, bacon, home fries and toast. If you are looking for a last minute place for saturday night they always have immediate seating because it is so big. Lots of tv's to watch your favorite team.
I’m visiting Omaha and I heard this was a must visit! The atmosphere was amazing, I would definitely recommend sitting outside if weather allows (but even if it doesn’t..the patio can be covered and heated)! I got the smoked Gouda Mac and cheese and it was AMAZING! No crumbs remained. The garlic bread that is served with this dish is the best I’ve ever had. The patio also had turf which made it feel so authentic! I gave it a 4 star for service because our waitress didn’t match the vibe of the restaurant. Overall, if you’re in the Omaha area, definitely check this place out!
While the burger was good (once they got it right) the waffle fries were, in my opinion, over done. I had asked for a regular single hamburger with the lettuce, tomato and pickles on the side. I was brought a cheeseburger. The waffle fries were hard and extremely crunchy. Our server did an ok job. However, he never asked if we needed a highchair for my one year old grandson. We had to ask for one. Also, he never asked if we needed our water refilled. We had to ask. Was a little disappointed with this visit. Been here before and never had any issues. Hope this was a one time oops.
First time visiting Omaha and this was the first restaurant I ate at. My party and I ordered several items off the vast menu and walked away full and happy with only good things to say! We began with Volcano Tots (tots smothered in queso topped with beef, Gouda mac, buffalo popcorn chicken and chipotle ranch, $10.99) which were incredible. Absolutely delicious and I had to pace myself to avoid filling up on these. 100% recommend. Next, we shared the Carne Asada tacos ($12.99), which comes with three. DAMN these bad boys slapped. The beef was exploding with flavor and perfectly tender. Someone got the Chili Mac ($14.99) and it was delicious as well. The chef was generous with the chili! Lastly, we shared the Blaze Burger (two steak burgers, house queso, pickled jalapeños and pepper jack cheese, $13.99) with sweet potato fries. PHEW, this one sure packed a punch. Them jalapeños were HOT. This was my favorite item. I’m sure I ate most of it. I wished the fries were a lil bit crispier but they still hit the spot. Next time around, I’ll be trying their pizza which I also heard raving reviews on. This place is definitely living up to its name. It’s a freaking good life and even better when you’re here.
The food was excellent, the service on point and the atmosphere was typical sports bar, which isn't a bad thing. We went on a Saturday, and they weren't busy at all, but that's probably because we got there shortly after they opened. I would imagine it wouldn't be that way during Nebraska football games.lol.
I just had a cheeseburger with coleslaw. The hamburger was delicious, generously sized with a delicious bun. The coleslaw was good but the dressing needs to be tweaked. Just my opinion as a coleslaw lover. Service was immediate and continued to be excellent. True to sport bars, it had tons of tv's tuned into almost anything imaginable. Nice place. Would go back without any hesitation.
